
BREAKING
THE GLASS CEILING AWARD 2012
The Breaking the Glass Ceiling Award has been established by the
Jewish Museum of Florida to recognize Florida Jewish professional women who have
become successful pioneers in fields generally dominated by men. The award is
also based upon their activities in the Jewish community and their serving as
role models for other women. Past winners include women in fields such as
banking, politics, law, aviation, journalism and entertainment.
Recipients are honored
annually at an award reception at the Museum. The criteria for the award
include a woman who was or is:

at the top of a profession
generally dominated by men, with at least
part of the professional career taking place
in Florida.
á
involved
in the community at large.
á
involved
in the Jewish community.
á
a
role model for other women.
á
able to participate
as a panelist with the other honorees during the awards ceremony on Thursday,
April 26, 2012

feel deserves this award, please fill out this form and return it to the Jewish
Museum of Florida. Nominations must be
received at the Museum by Monday, February 13, 2012 by 5:00 pm to be included
in the judging. The Award ceremony will take place Thursday, April 26, 2012 at
7:30 pm.
