1. MARKETING
A.
Public relations
1.
Media list: keep updated with deadlines/contact names/phones/e-mails
2.
Press Releases: write and distribute press releases as needed
3.
Calendar listings: submit to all sources, as needed, esp. Miami Herald
4.
Features: Generate stories and follow-up
5.
Website: send all press releases to Webmaster and print for office file
6. Press requests:
respond to and direct to appropriate staff the requests from press
7.
Press packets: create and distribute as needed
8. Temporary Exhibits:
write/distribute press release and write copy for invitations, banner, brochure
and any other promo materials as needed
9.
Special events/projects: help promote (Glass Ceiling Awards, Klezmer Concert,
Purim, etc)
10. General Community
relations: (Art Basel, Art Miami, City & County events).
11.
Press Archives: Track press coverage and archive.
12.
E-mail communications: to members/supporters re Museum events.
13.
Maintain MuseumÕs photo archives of events/programs.
14.
Monthly report for Board and articles for the TILES newsletter as requested.
15.
Update Exterior Bulletin Board
16. Maintain
communication with hotel concierges and keep them supplied with brochures
17. Arrange Radio and
TV PSAs and talk show interviews

Advertising (ads created by outside consultant)
1.
Schedule: create for generic and exhibit specific and keep updated with
dates/sizes/prices
2.
Insertion order sheets and keep tear sheets to approve billings
3.
Annual advertising budget: annually and actual updates
4.
Meet with vendors for ads; consult with Exec. Director prior to committing to
ads

Special Projects
1.
Florida Jewish History Month each January
2.
Jewish American Heritage Month each May
3.
Promote convention and journalist groups
4.
Help seek sponsorships for events, programs and media

Events Coordinator
a.
Solicit groups and individuals to rent the facility
b.
Meet with rental prospects
c.
Contract negotiations including rental fees
d.
Arrangements with caterer, musicians, maintenance staff, security, etc.
e.
Be at the Museum to supervise the event and clean-up (some will be evenings and
Sundays)
f. Assure that rental
fee is paid
3. Errands and phone calls as needed to
support MuseumÕs exhibits and programs.
4. Do whatever is necessary and cooperate
with and assist other staff to further the mission of the Museum. Attend Museum
events and become familiar with names of members and supporters and always be
aware of developing new supporters.
